Today is Transfiguration Sunday, and the account of Jesus' transfiguration is the Bible lesson (Luke 9:28-36) in Sunday School. On the Mount of Transfiguration, God showed that His Son, Jesus, is the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets, declaring that we should listen to Jesus, our Savior.
In discussing this Bible story, ask family members to consider how they are like Peter, not always understanding Jesus' ways and purpose. In His Word, Jesus patiently instructs me about Himself by the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask the children to recall their favorite Bible stories about Jesus.
